Similar to the Real Estate Law mockup, we created another demo legal website in our effort to target law firms. With our location in Northern Virginia, a highly diverse and multicultural community with a significant immigrant population, we felt that a website for a hypothetical Immigration Law practice was especially relevant and appropriate. In this case study, we walk through our approach for designing this website.
Immigration law firms serve clients from diverse ethnic, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds. Many of these prospective clients come from vulnerable situations such as fleeing unsafe and war-torn countries. Before we started on this project, we determined that the website would need the following must-have features:
In short, the challenge we faced was to create a website that possesses legally sound and accurate content but is also inclusive toward non-English speaking and multilingual audiences.
The sample Immigration Law website we created is a comprehensive answer to the digital needs of any modern Immigration Law Firm.
Exhaustive individual service pages covering the most in-demand immigration legal requests — family-based immigration, employment visas, asylum applications, business strategies, removal defense, and naturalization — make up a large portion of the website’s informational content.
Given that WordPress was originally crafted as a blogging platform, we made sure to utilize its native blogging capabilities to the fullest extent by developing a fleshed out blog. For example, the blog page — comprised of 15 blog posts — provides an opportunity for the firm’s attorneys to share their expert advice and react contemporaneously to the latest breaking news in the field of immigration law. We also split the blog posts into categories that correspond to the services the law firms offers so that readers can sort through posts by subject matter.
While creating the website, we were careful to merge thoughtful design with advanced technology to best serve the diverse communities that often interact with Immigration Law attorneys. For example, in the realm of aesthetics and design, we used a patriotic red-blue gradient color scheme, in addition to ample whitespace, to reinforce the promise of America in the eyes of many immigrants who come to our country. As for technological sophistication, the prominent language translation plugin featured on all pages quickly and accurately translates the website into one of numerous languages — an important offering for those who are non-native English speakers. Ultimately, we are confident that the finished website is fully equipped to serve as the foundation of any Immigration Law Firm’s digital marketing and online needs.
